WE ARE [WO]MEN CREATING CHANGE
"Nobody told me this was perimenopause." We hear it every week. Too many women enter perimenopause without understanding what is happening to their bodies or knowing where to find reliable support.
Research alone, however, does not create change. The outcomes need to be translated into practical, accessible resources that women can use in their daily lives. This campaign will help us turn the study insights into several multilingual practical tools and activities for women across Switzerland.
Once the campaign reaches CHF 5,000, it will unlock an additional CHF 5,000 Science Booster supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation. Every contribution helps.

Crowdfunding Campaign
Menopause is a natural time of change in a woman's life. Yet too many women still enter this stage without the knowledge, language or support they need. This life phase is also experienced very individually.

Our citizen-science study demonstrated the power of participation. Women who took part described moments of recognition: they observed their bodies more closely, understood their experiences differently and felt better able to act.

Women are at the center of this movement, but creating better menopause care needs all of us: women and men, healthcare professionals, researchers, organisations, partners and allies.
By contributing your voices and resources to our crowdfunding campaign, we can all help make change happen.

Now is the moment to move the knowledge forward. With the help of the campaign we can translate the outcomes of the citizen-science pilot study into multilingual practical tools available for women across Switzerland.

“We shouldn't just assume that suffering is a normal part of this stage of life. None of us has to suffer in silence.”
Dr Erika Günther
“There is still so much awareness-raising to be done on so many levels - from the healthcare system,
to businesses, partners, policymakers, and so on - and above all, there needs to be awareness-raising for women themselves.”
Tanja Anderwert
“I think support and awareness-raising during this special phase are very important.”
